ALGIERS (IRNA) -- Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Faezeh Abolneja and Head of Iran's Interest section in Cairo Seyed Hassan Rajabi in a meeting in Cairo on Saturday evening underlined the need to bolster bilateral economic and trade relations.

At the meeting, the two officials discussed the prospect of broadening cooperation in various economic, trade and investment fields.

Meanwhile, the need to sign an agreement indicating the framework of economic and technical cooperation between Iran and Egypt aiming to broaden collaboration in various domains including investment, trade, tourism, transport, media, culture and scientific as well as banking research was underlined by both officials.

On the other hand, the Cairo-based state daily, al-Ahram, referred to the significance of the meeting between the two officials, given that a new chapter in cooperation between the two countries is about to open based on the strategic priorities of their economic and social development.
